Designer/Creative Pattern Maker - Roberta Einer

2018 - 2021

As a creative pattern cutter for Roberta Einer, I was responsible for bringing her designs to life by utilising a variety of artistic techniques and mediums. Working from sketches, vintage garments, and mood boards, I developed patterns that accurately represented her vision while also incorporating my own eye for design.

One of my key strengths was my ability to experiment with textile manipulation and traditional craft techniques, which allowed me to develop textile samples that were truly one-of-a-kind. This involved using a range of techniques such as pleating, smocking, and embroidery, which I then incorporated into the garment design.

Designing by draping on the stand was also an important part of my role, as it allowed me to create sculptural silhouettes that complemented the fabric and design of the garment. This required a high level of skill and creativity, as I had to balance the technical aspects of pattern cutting with the artistic elements of garment design.
